Jewellery Care

Great care has been taken in creating your jewellery. Store your jewellery separately and store in its original packaging as metals and stones can scratch when they come into contact with each other.

Please follow these steps to protect and contribute to the longevity of your beautiful jewellery:

GOLD JEWELLERY

To preserve the shine of gold jewellery, use a non-abrasive gold polishing cloth.

STERLING SILVER JEWELLERY

Silver Jewellery will naturally tarnish over time. Always protect your jewellery from knocks, scratches, chemicals, sunlight and heat/cold to minimise these effects.

Wearing:

  • Please remove jewellery when you shower or bathe and particularly when on the beach, in the sea and in chlorinated water.
  • Avoid spraying perfume or applying creams directly onto your jewellery.
  • Keep away from extreme temperatures, humidity and sunlight, and avoid wearing your jewellery when using bleach.

Storing:

  • To protect your sterling silver jewellery, each piece should be individually stored in an airtight bag provided by us that comes with your shipping package to reduce tarnishing.
  • Do not use tissue paper or paper towels to clean metal as they can cause scratching.

Cleaning:

  • For sterling silver metal surface. To restore the original brilliance of the sterling silver surface, we recommend using a non-abrasive silver polishing cloth or lint free cloth.
  • Do not use tissue paper or paper towels to clean metal as they can cause scratching.

DIAMOND JEWELLERY

To clean diamond jewellery, we recommend gentle brushing with a mild solution of one part ammonia to six parts water and we advice against ultrasonic cleaning.

Stones may become loose over time and we recommend periodic examinations to assess the security of settings. Check the security of any stone set jewellery by shaking the item close to your ear. If there is a slight rattle the stone/s are no longer secure in their setting please contact us.

GEMSTONE JEWELLERY

Many gemstones are quite delicate, therefore hot water, harsh chemicals and cleaners should be avoided at all times and we advice against ultrasonic cleaning. We advise cleaning your precious stones with a clean, soft, damp cloth after wearing. Do not use tissue paper or paper towels to clean gemstones as they can cause scratching.
